Moulded pulp is widely used but so many of us are not aware of exactly what it is. Well if you’ve recently purchased a piece of electronics, or household appliance, your item probably arrived packed in moulded pulp. A good example of Moulded pulp would be the drink carriers that you receive from your favorite café which holds your cup in place, or even the egg cartons in the grocery store.
Moulded pulp is made from old newspapers, magazines, cardboard and just about anything made of paper. The paper products are blended in a giant blender with hot water which turns into a oatmeal-like consistency. It is this mushy substance that is used to make moulded pulp.
Moulded pulp is strong, rigid, fully-recyclable, cost-effective and environmentally friendly.
